Custom apparel manufacturing—especially for startups and growing clothing brands—can be a detailed process. From minimum order quantities and sampling to production timelines and payments, there are many moving parts.

Apparel Manufacturing: Order Basics

What are your minimum order quantities (MOQs)?

Minimum order quantities depend on the service selected:

Do you offer quantity discounts?

Yes. Argus Apparel provides quantity-based discounts. The larger your total order volume, the lower the cost per unit. Increasing your quantity from 50 to 100, 250, or more can significantly reduce your per-piece price.

Can I order a sample before placing a production order?

Yes, with the following conditions:

  • Free pre-production samples are provided after a production order deposit is received.

  • If you require a sample before placing a production order, a sampling fee will apply.

For small production runs, sampling can be costly and may not be cost-effective. Sampling costs vary depending on garment type and complexity.

Apparel and Garments

Where does Manufacturing take place?

Argus Apparel operates a dedicated manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas.
Our facility handles everything from small-to-large production runs and operates under ethical labor standards with strict quality control.

Is your online catalog your full product range?

No. Our website showcases only a portion of our available products.
We work with multiple blank apparel suppliers and provide access to thousands of customizable garment options. If you don’t see what you need, just let us know.

Can I bring my own garments to Argus for embroidery, screen printing, or other services?

Yes. Bring Your Own (BYO) garments are accepted with prior approval.
Please note that certain services require specific fabric compositions (for example, sublimation printing requires polyester).

Artwork, Color & Branding

Can you do precise color matching?

Color accuracy depends on the service:

  • Screen printing & sublimation: Pantone color matching available

  • Embroidery: Limited to available thread color libraries

What if I don’t have artwork or a logo?

No problem! Argus Apparel offers professional artwork and logo design services to help bring your brand vision to life.

Our design team can create production-ready files, including vector logos, custom graphics, and layout designs, ensuring your apparel is print-ready for screen printing, embroidery, sublimation, or cut-and-sew projects.

What if my artwork is not production-ready?

We offer artwork conversion services, including:

  • Vector conversion for screen printing

  • Logo digitizing (DST format) for embroidery

Who owns the digitized artwork files?

Argus Apparel retains copies for production records.
Your digitized files can be provided upon request.

Quoting & Proof Approval

Will I receive a proof before production?

Yes. All orders include digital proofs.
Production begins only after written approval is received.

Please review proofs carefully—approved proofs are final.

How quickly do you respond to quote requests?

  • Screen printing, embroidery, and labels: within 24 business hours

  • Cut & sew or sublimation projects: up to 3 business days

Order Timing & Turnaround

How long does production take?

Typical production timelines:

  • Screen printing & embroidery: ~2 weeks

  • Sublimation on blanks: ~2 weeks

  • Cut & sew manufacturing: 3~6 weeks

Shipping time is not included in production estimates.

When does turnaround time begin?

Production starts after payment has been processed.
Delays in payment may result in later delivery dates or rush fees.

How can I avoid delays?

  • Submit complete and accurate order details

  • Respond promptly to proofs and approvals

  • Avoid unnecessary status check-ins that may slow workflows

Do you offer rush orders?

Rush service is available for screen printing and embroidery only and includes non-negotiable rush fees.

Rush orders are not available for:

  • Cut & sew manufacturing

  • Dye-sublimation printing

  • Woven labels

Order Changes & Cancellations

Can I add garments after placing an order?

Yes, within the following windows:

  • Screen printing & embroidery: within 3 days

  • Cut & sew & sublimation: within 5 days

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Orders already in production may not be eligible for cancellation.

Payment

When is payment due?

Payment is required upfront at the time of ordering.
Production does not begin—and finished goods are not released—without payment in full.

Can work begin before payment?

No. Proofing, sampling, digitizing, and production require payment confirmation.

Shipping

Can you estimate shipping costs?

Shipping costs vary by destination.
Within the continental U.S., average shipping is approximately $0.30 per garment.

After Receiving Your Order

What if there is an issue with my order?

Please contact us immediately.
Your satisfaction is important, and we will work to resolve verified issues promptly.

Argus Apparel is not responsible for defects in customer-supplied (BYO) garments.

Can I re-order the same items?

Yes. Simply contact us to place a re-order.

Setup fees (digitizing, vectorization, screen setup) are not charged again on re-orders.
